SHAPE – Leading the Change

SeeBeyondBorders was delighted to welcome fourteen SHAPE Australia volunteers to Cambodia in February 2020. These fourteen volunteers spent ten days in the Kingdom of Wonder engaging with our important education programs.

As a longstanding and valued corporate partner, we are always thrilled to have SHAPE volunteers visit and be immersed in our programs. This year the volunteers spent time working in schools in the Ek Phnom and Bavel Districts (Battambang Province). The group also learned about Cambodian history in Phnom Penh before a visit to the temples in Siem Reap.

We thank SHAPE Australia for its continued support and for making our work possible. We also thank Keith, Yaavar, Ryan, Victoria, Vince, Josie, Erin, Luke, Sara, Kaitlyn, Nadim, Justin, Elisa and Simon for their hard work while here and for engaging so impressively with our Cambodian based staff. Phearith (SeeBeyondBorders Communications and Administration Assistant) spent a week with the team. He recorded a short video message for SHAPE which you can watch below.  Change begins with education.
