SeeBeyondBorders and The Australian Embassy Celebrate Book Week 2021 in Cambodia

Welcome

Dear Ambassador Kang,

On behalf of SeeBeyondBorders, I welcome you to the online session with our Educational Changemakers to mark the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Book Week 2021. Our team and the Educational Changemakers are looking forward to sharing their experiences, perspectives and dreams in relation to reading in Cambodia.

This year’s Book Week theme, “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds” is a wonderful lens to reflect on the past, look to the future and share the possibilities in relation to literacy in Cambodia and we look forward to doing this in our online session where we will have the opportunity to hear from a variety of experiences and perspectives.

At SeeBeyondBorders we believe that change begins with education and as the future of change in Cambodia, our Changemakers’ dreams and aspirations look towards a brighter future. In our online session, our Changemakers will share their reflections on the past and hopes for the next generation of Cambodian children and we also look forward to hearing your experiences and aspirations around reading.

Yours sincerely,
Mel Cashen
