A hole in one for SeeBeyondBorders at the SHAPE QLD Charity Golf day

In May, SeeBeyondBorders General Manager Andy Wade, attended the SHAPE QLD Annual Charity Golf Day at the Victoria Park Golf Club in Queensland. This wonderful event raised funds and awareness for SeeBeyondBorders and the work that we do.

The SHAPE golf day was very successful with over 100 people attending the event including SHAPE’s Contractors and Volunteers who all worked together to fundraise for SeeBeyondBorders. As our Corporate Partner, SHAPE has supported SeeBeyondBorders and we are honoured to receive financial support at the annual golf day from this socially responsible company. SHAPE has been able to achieve this with the generous support of the many subcontractors that form the SHAPE family.

SHAPE team members have recently travelled to Cambodia and seen first-hand the impact their company’s contribution is having on education in Cambodia. We are grateful for SHAPE’s continued support in our belief that change begins with education, and that quality teaching and learning should be available to every child.

“SHAPE is proud to have supported SeeBeyondBorders and the essential work they do for over five years. Our long-standing partnership with the organisation has resulted in a yearly National Immersion Experience, where SHAPE employees are chosen to travel to Cambodia. This year, SHAPE was fortunate enough to have sent 12 of our people overseas to work alongside SeeBeyondBorders in making a difference to children affected by poverty.Following this, the Queensland branch hosted our Annual Charity Golf Day in support of SeeBeyondBorders on May 24, 2019. Over 100 people attended Victoria Park and played an 18-hole course with colleagues and the SHAPE team.It was a privilege to have Andy attend the event, where he met with the SHAPE community and our network of subcontractors. Each player left the event with an understanding of the education crisis in Cambodia, and SeeBeyondBorder’s mission to provide access to quality teaching and learning at Cambodian schools.SHAPE is proud to have raised over $20,000 on the day for SeeBeyondBorders, and we look forward to supporting them again in the future.” SHAPE General Manager, Ben Wright.

SHAPE’s golf day was so professionally organised by the wonderful team from SHAPE QLD. Combined with the perfect weather conditions, this resulted in a memorable day for everyone” Andy Wade, General Manager SeeBeyondBorders
