NEWS: SeeBeyondBorders collects UNESCO prize in Paris
Follow our Teach the Teacher Program Manager Sophen on his journey to Paris for World Teachers' Day. The UNESCO-Hamdan prize celebrates our outstanding work to improve teaching quality in Cambodia.
This year we were thrilled to learn that we were selected to receive the UNESCO-Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers. This is in recognition of our core Teach the Teacher program, which works with Cambodian teachers to support their professional development, improving their confidence and skills, and ensuring children get the quality education they deserve.
On October 5th we were invited to attend the UNESCO-Hamdan award ceremony in Paris. Our Teach the Teacher Program Manager Sophen traveled overseas for the first time to collect the award. You can watch his journey and hear his thoughts on the experience here.
On behalf of all the staff at SeeBeyondBorders, we'd like to say a huge thank you to the UNESCO-Hamdan prize givers for recognising our hard work, and to the teachers and communities that we work with in Cambodia, who go above and beyond every day to improve education standards.
