Cambodia team bids a sad farewell to Felicia
Our wonderful finance volunteer Felicia will be sorely missed in the Battambang office!
Last week we said a sad farewell to Felicia, who joined us at the beginning of the year, as part of our ongoing six-month volunteer program. She has become a special figure in the Battambang office – calm, supportive, smiling, proactive and patient. She has put in many hours not only rationalising and making our financials consistent, but also in supporting and instilling confidence into our local staff, who think of her as practically family! We know Felicia hates being in the limelight, but hope she will forgive us for putting it out there, just how much we owe her a debt of gratitude. She put so much of herself into her role and leaves behind a clear and manageable legacy for the future, to help us all understand and work within the financial management system she created, with confidence. Thank you so much from all of us Felicia. Enjoy a well-earned, gecko-free rest with Corin before returning to a more ‘normal’ job!
Felicia’s role will pass to Christine, a New Zealander, who comes to us having worked for the past 5 years in Mumbai and prior to that in the UK. Welcome to the team Christine!
