Whether you are a teacher, an individual or a business, we want you to get involved with the vital work of SeeBeyondBorders. Engage directly and have the experience of a lifetime through a SeeBeyondBorders program or project in Cambodia, come on a Cambodian Cycle Challenge, become a Corporate Sponsor or offer your professional support.
Contact us to register your interest or discuss tailored projects and opportunities.
Ways to get involved are described in more detail below:
Volunteering your skills to support us is of great value to us. We seek to direct as much of our financial resources as possible to our programs in Cambodia, so are constantly looking for those generous enough to give us some time free of charge. You may choose to donate a small amount of time regularly, or give us your time for a specific period or project.
If you have professional experience in fundraising, marketing and communications, graphic design, development, legal risk management, auditing, project management, construction or IT, we particularly need you!
On a volunteer basis, we are currently seeking:
There is always something that needs doing at the Sydney office and there are many skilled work areas where we require support. We are also interested in potential volunteers based in the United Kingdom, as we build our United Kingdom operation.
SeeBeyondBorders is looking for Volunteers who are willing to be placed in our Volunteer group and contacted when required for a project. Projects may include work connected with marketing, finance, fundraising, administration, data entry, graphic design, website development, event coordination and copywriting.
Downloadable Volunteer Form: please register your interest to volunteer in our Sydney office by completing the Volunteer Form and returning via email (details on the form). Thank you.
Corporate volunteer days are a great way for companies to get involved with the community by helping SeeBeyondBorders fundraise for our vital programs.
We have limited capacity for a group of your staff to work with us on a single day in the year. Your staff will assist us by participating in one of our fundraisers, which are fun, competitive and engaging. Our team will work with you to create a tailored volunteering program for your staff, so we require as much notice as possible to make arrangements.
Contact Us about volunteer days.
Fundraising for SeeBeyondBorders is a great way to support our work and have fun at the same time. Whether it's a school activity, fun run, or barbeque, SeeBeyondBorders can provide you with the advice, tools and support to help you maximise the potential of your fundraising activity or event. We have a kit to help you manage donations, or you might consider using a tailored page for us on Everyday Hero.
Please note that if you want to fundraise for us we are required to register your event or activity and provide you with an Authority to Fundraise form.
Contact Us for information and fundraising resources.
Do you have the time and interest to be able to help us? Our Advisory Group does just that – advises the CEO on the best course of action and how to allocate funding. This is not the same as a Board – this is not about oversight, this is about support. We need professional skills to help guide our way. Please see some of the skills we need in PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT but this is no ultimate limitation to your involvement.
Please nominate yourself for our Advisory Group and receive additional information about the group’s role.
We are actively seeking volunteers who are interested in working in Cambodia for periods of six months or more. We need people who can help further develop the Teach the Teacher program and offer professional development to our Cambodian staff. Volunteers can be based in Battambang or Siem Reap, depending on the assignment. Applicants should possess a good level of composure and resilience, ideally with travel or work experience overseas.
SeeBeyondBorders provides a monthly allowance which generally covers accommodation costs at a basic comfort level. All work related costs are covered such as internet and phone, a bicycle for in-town use and bus fares if travel to other centres is necessary. The volunteer is required to fund other expenses such as insurance, medical costs, non-assignment-related travel costs and daily living costs.
SeeBeyondBorders is seeking an experienced and dedicated Finance professional to build sustainable finance capabilities in our Cambodian head office.
